Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works independently to diagnose process problems, develop, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, scheduling, and eliminate downtime. Planning and designing of manufacturing processes and support tooling, manufacturing equipment utilization, layout of assembly, and material handling operations. Ability to follow safety standards while leading and inspiring workers in a team environment, assist in the training of plant personnel, and promote culture of safety and continuous improvement. Work with suppliers to develop new ways of working and implement technology where applicable. Plans, coordinates, and achieves successful launches of projects plant wide. Cross train through the engineering department and assist in areas as needed. Ability to generate work instructions and SOP's and implement on the floor with team members. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specifications requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor. Education and/or Experience Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related fields Experience in continuous improvement and lean implementations and project management Knowledge of different manufacturing methods, metal fabrications, material removal, paint, blasting/deburr. CNC machining, fiberglass, composites, welding/brazing, and assembly Computer Skills Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
