About The Position

Develop mechanical aspects of power distribution & monitoring products, per approved engineering specifications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical design systems with overall manufacturing processes Develop and maintain documentation and drawings for enclosure and mechanical systems Support the planning and testing and Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) certification of new and existing products Communicate and support engineering team, designers, and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information Prepare cost reduction proposals for new and existing products based on cost trades, design improvements and Value-Added Value Engineering (VAVE) process Create and maintain accurate documentation of concepts, designs concepts, tool drawings and shop orders in coordination with the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing functions Partner with Production early in the design process to ensure solutions are optimized for manufacturability, efficiency, and scalability Execute project activities with cross functional teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical design engineering experience
  • Minimum one (1) experience designing sheet metal components and assemblies
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, Autodesk Vault, or similar programs
  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis focused on stress and thermal properties
  • Experience in design and preparation of mechanical drawings
  • Experience in structural / thermal analysis
  • General understanding of power supply design and components, as well as good working knowledge of regulatory standards associated with the products and assemblies
