We are looking for a reliable, dependable team member who enjoys being challenged and contributing their skills to a growing team. We are looking for a curious, hands-on, and driven Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time role ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build a strong foundation in mechanical design and manufacturing while learning the fundamentals of our force and torque measurement products. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position will start with a heavy emphasis on drafting and design documentation, giving you time to learn our products, processes, and standards in depth before growing into broader design and product support responsibilities. You will collaborate regularly with the engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams, and take on increasing design responsibility as your experience develops.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0–2 years of mechanical engineering experience; recent graduates welcome.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Familiarity with conventional manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small, close-knit team.

Nice To Haves

  • exposure to the calibration industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs) for new and existing Morehouse products.
  • Collaborate with engineering team members on product design and improvements, taking on increasing design responsibility as your experience grows.
  • Support existing Morehouse products, assisting with design changes, documentation updates, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Assist with maintenance, improvement, and development of internal manufacturing and calibration equipment.
  • Help other departments with procedure development and technical documentation.
  • Support the sales team with technical quoting and customer inquiries.
  • Learn and apply Morehouse standards, calibration industry practices, and force and torque measurement principles.
