About The Position
The Mechanical Engineer will be tasked with the design of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, overseeing the process from conception to release, manufacturing, and assembly. This role is hands-on, where mechanical aptitude and a commitment to achieving project milestones are valued and rewarded.
Requirements
- Previous experience in designing mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment
- Experience with SolidWorks or a similar 3D software package.
- Knowledge or experience with manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding; understanding of Design for Manufacturability principles, basic engineering knowledge of various materials
- Experience in creating products with detailed BOMs, clean 3D models, and utilizing a PDM system
- Experience in presenting designs and ideas in a team setting, with the ability to accept and provide constructive criticism on a range of technical topics
- Experience with engineering tolerances and stack-ups
- Must be a self-starter, multi-tasker, team player, work well with others, and have a positive attitude
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with FEA or desire to learn is valued
- Basic understanding or exposure to statistical process control is nice to have
