  • Provide continuous advisory services for mechanical and utility systems to the Director of Engineering Services.
  • Perform and document code reviews, risk assessments, cost assessments, and life-cycle planning for major building systems.
  • Conduct HVAC engineering design as requested by the Director of Engineering Services.
  • Provide expert advice on purchasing equipment for facility mechanical systems.
  • Perform energy and life cycle-costs analysis of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Act as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on design and service contracts/projects.
  • Assist in engineering department policy development and maintenance.
  • Guide managers on comprehensive management policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in mechanical engineering.
  • Current Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Level II certification.
  • Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.
  • Annual leave based on years of service as a Federal employee.
  • Relocation incentives may be authorized.
  • Credit for previous non-federal experience or active duty military service for annual leave calculation.
