About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer supports our design engineering team delivering mission-critical marine systems from inception to completion. The team depends on you as a technical resource for producing calculations, evaluating designs, and troubleshooting manufacturability issues. The Mechanical Engineer contributes directly to creating reliable and efficient equipment that upholds PAR Marine's reputation for quality products and customer satisfaction. Launching your skyrocketing career starts with knowing engineering calculations, being familiar with blueprints/engineering drawings, and having familiarity with skilled trades (Machining, Assembly, Welding). Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to travel as required (<5%).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with maintenance or assembly of mechanical systems.
  • Design experience in electrohydraulic or electromechanical systems.
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design engineering team in delivering mission-critical marine systems from inception to completion.
  • Produce calculations and evaluate designs.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturability issues.
  • Contribute to creating reliable and efficient equipment.
