  • A strong drive to identify, create, and continually improve engineering design systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the design of complex modular buildings and metal enclosures, and develop comprehensive specification sheets, intricate bills of materials, detailed assembly instructions, and other critical fabrication documents.
  • Ensure all product designs rigorously comply with complex regulatory requirements, commercial codes, customer specifications, advanced engineering standards, and company practices and procedures.
  • Take ownership of the accurate and timely processing of complex shop drawings, product submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, and meticulously record all as-built drawings.
  • Contribute to thorough model reviews and drawing checks as an integral part of the engineering design release process.
  • Contribute to Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Excellence (DFx) reviews, focusing on significant cost reduction strategies and enhancing overall manufacturing cost and efficiency.
  • Independently execute and manage complex Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) as a key part of product release and ongoing lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate strategically and lead initiatives with Sales, Project Management, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to support complex customer inquiries.
  • Proactively identify, propose, and implement significant improvements to design procedures, processes, and methods.
