Requirements

  • Fifteen (15) or more years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor of Science required in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university.
  • Positive, cooperative, self-motivated, and professional behavior.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Rocket motor design and testing experience.
  • Master of Science required in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university.
  • Must be able to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee complex testing programs.
  • Lead large-scale and high-risk test programs.
  • Provide guidance on test planning best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of test planning frameworks and methodologies.
  • Develop compelling narratives and tailor content for specific audiences.
  • Write technical documents with precision and accuracy.
  • Create intricate 2D or 3D designs and produce precise technical drawings.
  • Develop program plans and understand acquisition life cycles.
  • Coordinate activities related to reliability and safety principles.
  • Lead small teams and manage simple schedules.
  • Design simple control systems and conduct requirements elicitation.
  • Perform simulations and set up structural analysis models.
  • Contribute to basic software designs under guidance.
