Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or relevant discipline from an accredited university.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Design complex actuator systems and optimize performance.
  • Lead the development of hot gas valve and rocket thruster designs.
  • Generate complex actuator designs and conduct performance analysis.
  • Draft and model intricate 2D or 3D designs using advanced CAD.
  • Conduct detailed characterization of advanced materials.
  • Provide expert consultation on communication strategies and technical documentation.
  • Build complex simulations and validate engineering models.
  • Lead manufacturing processes including additive manufacturing and mechanical assembly.
  • Perform testing and data collection for engineering projects.
  • Conduct mass estimation and risk management for complex systems.
  • Manage small project teams and procurement tasks.
  • Understand and optimize solid rocket motor performance.
