About The Position

Lenovo is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with server design experience to join its growing in-house design team within the Infrastructure Solutions Group. This role involves collaborating with global design centers to create high-quality server products from concept to market availability, focusing on innovation and efficiency in server design.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 5 years experience using CAD.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in 3D computer design engineering including sheet metal or plastic part design.
• Prior experience managing engineering changes, bill of material creation, cost estimating, and tolerance analysis.

Nice To Haves

• Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Experience using the PTC Creo CAD tool and PTC Windchill for CAD data file management.
• Knowledge of server industry standards and compliance industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Create in-house developed server designs including printed circuit board layouts, structural sheet metal enclosures, and plastic part designs in next generation servers.
• Work with architects to finalize design concepts and develop and validate the designs.
• Collaborate with team members to create designs and resolve design bugs as they arise.
• Interact closely with thermal, power, system, and extended team members to achieve designs that meet business and marketing requirements.
• Contribute to common building block designs used across the product portfolio.
• Report project status to stakeholders.
