About The Position

Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOFGLSS) contract, located in Lexington, KY, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and complete modifications on various military vehicle and aircraft platforms in support of the warfighter. This program, critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world has a mission to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible systems and equipment anywhere in the world. This position supports our Special Operations Forces – Global Logistics Support Services contract, which is the U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services. Requirements

  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • Experience with 3D parametric modeling in CATIA, SolidWorks or similar software.
  • Experience with creation, review, and approval of engineering change documentation
  • Experience creating ANSI/ASME Y14.100 compliant drawings
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an mechanical design or aerospace environment.
  • Experience with Catia V5, Creo, SolidWorks or other 3D parametric modeling program.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with lead engineers, project engineers, and systems and design teams to support existing platforms to ensure the customer fleets’ continued operation.
  • Reviewing customer requests, deconflicting technical data, determining and developing solutions to issues, submitting and processing necessary documentation.
  • Development of component installation, assembly, and part designs and drawings for integration of equipment, including: mechanical systems, armor, radios, antennas, transmitters, power equipment, server systems and components, etc.
  • Documenting and processing engineering releases and changes.
  • Contributing to customer reviews.
  • Forward thinking, flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.
