We are seeking a proven leader with Mechanical Engineering experience to lead the development of our next generation of Electronic Systems at our site in Wayne, NJ. Requirements

  • BSME with 10+ years and commensurate experience leading engineering teams
  • Eligible for Security Clearance (Secret)
  • Possesses solid technical leadership practices for multi-disciplinary engineering teams engaged in the design and development of state-of-the-art electro-mechanical products
  • Team sizes may range from small to large (5, 10, to 20+)
  • Team disciplines include Mechanical (ME), Electrical (EE), Systems (SE), Design Drafting (DD)
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules, budgets, and productivity metrics to ensure efficient team performance. Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) project execution and practices.
  • Experience implementing an established Hardware Engineering design processes to achieve product quality and consistency
  • Possesses sound interpersonal communication skills involving interfacing with company personnel, customers, and suppliers
  • Experience supporting new business capture and proposal teams with development of hardware engineering cost/schedule estimates
  • Capable of exercising independent discretion and judgment in the performance of engineering duties
  • Capable of utilizing computer skills to prepare appropriate reports, documents, and presentations for internal/external distribution
  • Ability to develop and implement design solutions, processes, and systems within budget and schedule requirements
  • Experience with design and develop of products and services using state-of-the-art engineering technologies, principles, theories and concepts

  • Experience with designing and analyzing for MIL standard environments and requirements (thermal, structural, EMI/EMC, etc)
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) project management techniques
  • Experience with RF technologies

  • Designing for manufacturability
  • Experience with Creo Parametric
  • Experience with ANSYS

Responsibilities

  • Leading multi-discipline, state-of-the- art hardware teams through the hardware engineering design and development
  • Leading critical design review activities for program success
  • Employing your expertise, decision skills, and independent judgment in technical areas
  • Communicating essential information and coordinating with other engineering disciplines, Procurement, Operations, and Program Management
  • Developing program schedules, earned value criteria, and productivity metrics for efficient performance
  • Ensuring the established Hardware Development Process is implemented successfully
  • Supporting important program capture and proposal teams with hardware baselines that include development and cost/scheduling estimating
  • Working with Project Technical Leads to determine program staffing needs and “right person/right job”
  • Providing inputs on personnel performance
