The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and optimizing processes for large scale manufacturing, planning and testing production methods, and overseeing facility operations. This role involves a combination of research, data analysis, and hands on work to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability in the production of chemical products.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments and analyze data
  • Develop new products or improve existing ones
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams
  • Design and plan production processes
  • Optimize processes for efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
  • Implement and maintain safety procedures
  • Monitor and mitigate potential environmental impacts
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures
  • Conduct quality assurance testing
  • Ensure product consistency and quality standards are met
  • Plan and coordinate projects from conception to completion
  • Manage timelines and budgets
  • Communicate with stakeholders and provide project updates
  • Provide technical support to colleagues and clients
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Train and educate team members on new processes or products
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Prepare reports on production processes and results
  • Present findings and recommendations to management or clients

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and simulation software
  • Knowledge of chemical process engineering and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
