Position Overview The Mechanical Engineer - PE (HVAC) will lead a mechanical team, direct and review projects, and develop long-term relationships with clients. This individual will liaise between clients and co-workers to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects according to client needs.

Requirements

  • 10 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer and a Project Manager.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, or other computer-aided design software applications.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while maintaining quality.
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and orally about highly technical subject matter.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical systems and component materials.
  • Ability to work extended hours and workdays in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and work demands as needed.
  • Capacity to analyze a problem from multiple perspectives and explore creative solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a desire for excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Valid Drivers' license.
  • Ability to Comply to the Company Drug and Alcohol Policy as a requirement of a position that could adversely affect the safety of others.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall results for the projects managed.
  • Coordinate and schedule workload of the team to meet expectations/deadlines.
  • Mentor and develop the team and support a healthy workplace atmosphere.
  • Interact with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, and fellow engineers and designers to coordinate designs.
  • Develop accurate and precise designs complying with recognized standards, company practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Design building mechanical systems including plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection for large buildings and facilities.
  • Prepare technical specifications supporting your designs.
  • Prepare load calculations to facilitate equipment and system sizing.
  • Report to senior management about progress and changes.
  • Interface with administrative and support staff.
  • Marketing through repeat business and outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures.
