  • Perform engineering analysis under general supervision
  • Design or modify basic mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications under general supervision
  • Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects
  • Identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues
  • Perform and document engineering test reports
  • Generate alpha/gamma documentation for product releases
  • Troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate difficulty under general supervision
  • Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes as needed
  • Enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle, as needed
  • Master's Degree Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Working experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and/or Design for Excellence principles
  • FEA structural / thermal analysis
  • Fundamental understanding of Mechanical Engineering concepts
  • Fundamental understanding of engineering mechanics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics
  • Skilled in Computer-Aided-design (CAD) software, preferably in Siemens NX
  • Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Basic knowledge of different material properties and their application in mechanical design
  • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is preferable.
