$80,000 - $100,000Onsite

About The Position

At M2X Energy, we’re rethinking how fuels and chemicals are made — turning stranded natural gas into valuable, low-carbon products that help combat climate change. As a Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing, you’ll be at the heart of that mission: building the systems that take us from concept to deployment. This isn’t just a behind-the-scenes role — your work will directly shape how we scale our technology from prototype to full production. From optimizing designs for manufacturability to improving assembly processes and implementing quality systems, you’ll create the backbone that ensures our innovation becomes reality. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love solving complex problems, and want your career to have real-world impact, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • A foundation in Mechanical Engineering (B.S. or equivalent experience) and 3+ years in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on builder mindset with expertise with mechanical assembly, electrical integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to take designs from pilot stage to scaled manufacturing, with a sharp eye for bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in design tools (AutoCAD, Inventor preferred) and a knack for turning concepts into practical, manufacturable solutions.
  • Data-driven problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams and can translate technical ideas into clear action.
  • Strengths in organization and agility, being able to juggle competing priorities without losing sight of the details.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Advanced expertise in Autodesk Inventor and comfort working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience building quality systems, tracking inventory, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Prior experience with new software implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Build for Scale: Translate P&IDs and 3D designs into efficient, repeatable fabrication and assembly workflows that take us from prototype to production.
  • Drive Process Excellence: Design and implement SOPs, work instructions, and assembly guides that enable technicians and contractors to execute with precision.
  • Equip the Team: Specify and source tools, fixtures, and jigs that improve build accuracy, reduce cycle time, and set us up for scalable manufacturing.
  • Solve Problems: Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing defects or process deviations, ensuring lessons turn into lasting improvements.
  • Ensure Quality & Safety: Implement QC procedures, maintain compliance with ASME, NEC, OSHA, and other standards, and ensure safe, reliable builds.
  • Own the Details: Coordinate factory acceptance testing, track components through their lifecycle, and partner with vendors to improve quality and reliability.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Professional development assistance
  • A culture built on collaboration, ambition, and purpose
