About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our FBM Reentry team in Littleton, CO! In this role you will: Support the mechanical design team by performing tasks such as design, and development support for aerospace structures and generate detailed design of primary and secondary structures. Create CAD models, interface drawings, and detailed build-to-print drawings, release drawings/models to engineering configuration control vault, and perform varied tasks with direction from a senior lead engineer Research, plan, design and develop mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems for flight as well as ground systems Participate in issue resolution, developing solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure. Requirements

  • Experience with creating 3D designs in CREO or equivalent software
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 including GD&T and tolerance stack up analyses
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes including documentation, machining, welding, heat treatment, surface treatment and/or assembly
  • Active secret clearance
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
