Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our FBM Reentry team in Littleton, CO! In this role you will: Support the mechanical design team by performing tasks such as design, and development support for aerospace structures and generate detailed design of primary and secondary structures. Create CAD models, interface drawings, and detailed build-to-print drawings, release drawings/models to engineering configuration control vault, and perform varied tasks with direction from a senior lead engineer Research, plan, design and develop mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems for flight as well as ground systems Participate in issue resolution, developing solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Requirements

  • Experience with creating 3D designs in CREO or equivalent software
  • Familiar with manufacturing processes including documentation, machining, welding, heat treatment, and/or surface treatment and assembly
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Active secret clearance
