Functions The Mechanical Engineer I will work closely with team members too: Review documents, diagrams, and analyses. Produce drawings in AutoCAD, assist in calculations and analyses by hand or using relevant software. Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables are submitted in accordance with the Contract requirements. Assist in the production of detailed plans of action and deficiency reports to support the project objectives and schedules. Assist with construction planning support activities. Assist in the integration of the design in Production and work closely with shipyard personnel. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Ability to interpret Contract requirements and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
  • Capable of learning department-specific software programs to assist in various analyses.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CDRL deliverables development
  • Experience with one or more ABS design standards, such as VR, NVR, INSG, HSNC, etc. highly desired.
  • 0-5 years of Engineering experience in a shipyard, ship design firm or class society

Responsibilities
