About The Position

OTC Industrial Technologies is looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our summer of 2025 internship program. This internship will support our Engineering Team & Quality in projects such as providing technical and administrative support to the Engineering Group, reading mechanical & electrical blueprints, troubleshooting equipment, reviewing and creating bill of materials, and assisting in the design, fabrication, and installation of compressor systems. Interns will also assist in the development of Solidworks PDM database and organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD Systems such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and Solidworks
  • Strong Computer Skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Well Developed problem solving & communication skills
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortability in sharing thoughts, ideas, and questions

  • Degree Concentrations applicable to the Industrial Segment: Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing related concentrations

Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical and administrative support to the Engineering Group
  • Read mechanical & Electrical Blueprints and troubleshoot equipment in both mechanical & electrical systems
  • Review/create bill of materials & scope of work documentation
  • Review product specifications and create internal equipment standards
  • Revise electrical schematics in AutoCAD & Solid Works CAD software
  • Assist in design, fabrication, and installation of compressor systems, fixtures, tooling, etc.
  • Create detailed technical reports for internal and/or customer use
  • Assist in the development of Solidworks PDM database and Solidworks Toolbox
  • Assist in the development of organizational standards and documentation
  • Help to create an intelligent parts database in SolidWorks
  • Assist in the Quality audits of manufacturing and decommissioned modules
