About The Position
Quantic BEI is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This hands-on role provides exposure to real-world product development in a high-tech environment, supporting custom solutions designed to operate in extreme conditions (vibration, shock, temperature extremes, and vacuum). If you enjoy building real hardware and solving challenging engineering problems, we’d love to connect.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Foundation in mechanical design principles
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- SolidWorks or other CAD tools
- 3D printing and additive manufacturing
- Design for CNC machining and understanding of machining processes
- FEA or simulation tools
- Electronics integration experience
Responsibilities
- Assist with mechanical design and modeling using SolidWorks
- Support 3D printing and prototype fabrication
- Participate in assembly, fit-checks, and testing of mechanical components
- Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and test documentation
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams
- Contribute to design reviews and technical problem-solving
