The ideal candidate for these positions will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer. A typical day as a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Intern might include the following: Supporting functional/qualification test plans, testing, and test reports. Running tolerance, return on investment (ROI), thermal, and structural analysis. Designing plastic, machined, sheet meal, and die cast parts Updating SolidWorks models and drawings Data entry of technical information into company databases (MS Access, Lotus Notes, SolidWorks, etc.) Following manufacturing development and quality assurance procedures. Embracing the mindset: Understand. Create. Simplify. Applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
