About The Position

Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer Intern. The Mechanical Engineer Intern contributes to Regal’s mission of excellence by demonstrating a true passion for mechanisms and systems, with a desire to learn and develop. This individual will work alongside the Engineering Team to problem solve and assist with the design, build, and testing of new systems.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering Degree

• Practical understanding of mechanisms and systems, including but not limited to: fold down hull sides, power platforms, automated sliding doors, folding seat mechanisms, hinges, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, build, and testing of new systems.
• Work with the engineering team to assess different mechanisms and systems such as: fold down hull sides, power platforms, automated sliding doors, folding seat mechanisms, hinges, etc.
• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.
• Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs.
• Generate working prototypes for beta testing and demonstration.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
• Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software.
• Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
• Any other duties as assigned.
