  • Great computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of the product development lifecycle, from initial concept through validation and product release, ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Apply mechanical engineering principles to design and analyze components and systems, including stress/strain assessments, tolerance analysis, and validation testing. Leverage engineering tools and simulation methods to address complex design challenges.
  • Develop mechanical designs from early concepts to production‑ready models using 3D CAD software (Siemens Solid Edge).
  • Produce accurate and complete engineering drawings and documentation, with strong application of GD&T principles.
  • Perform linear and non‑linear structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
  • Collaborate directly with suppliers to guide decision‑making, support manufacturing activities, and resolve component‑related issues. Work with internal and external partners to ensure product readiness and continuity.
  • Coordinate effectively with project managers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders, utilizing tools to manage documentation, track progress, and maintain clear communication.
  • Lead mechanical testing and validation activities, ensuring rigorous test methods and precise execution per IEEE standards. Analyze complex data sets, prepare detailed reports, and deliver insights that support design decisions and foster innovation.
  • Contribute to new product development by creating mechanical concepts and refining designs for performance, cost efficiency, and manufacturability. Support prototype builds, design validation, and participate in cross‑functional design reviews.
  • Participate in Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities for electromechanical subsystems, identifying potential failure modes, assessing associated risks, and recommending design or process improvements.
