Requirements

  • Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or degree program (e.g., Associates, Apprenticeship, Boot Camp, or Certification in a specialized program + 3 years of relevant experience, High School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience, Bachelors + 2 years of relevant experience) or Masters + 0 years of relevant experience. Relevant fields include mechanical engineering or a related program, or holders of equivalent academic certifications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX)
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++) for automation or data analysis is a plus.

  • Strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues.
  • Experience in establishing and sustaining excellent relationships with an extended team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with basic simulation/analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD, ANSYS).

  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
  • For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies.
