About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer II with 5-10 years of professional experience to join our team. The successful candidate will work directly with the client, collaborating closely with regional design and construction teams to provide design recommendations, resolve project issues, and implement corrective measures throughout all phases of project execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in HVAC, plumbing or fire protection systems design
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve technical issues and deliver innovative design recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, design principles, and construction practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience working directly with clients.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace 700 or 3D or similar tools).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits or client meetings (if not based in Atlanta).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical support for the client, addressing MEP design concerns and providing solutions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to review project designs and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Support initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
  • Identify and troubleshoot design issues onsite or remotely, developing corrective actions and ensuring successful implementation.
  • Prepare documentation and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support project planning and execution by participating in meetings, site visits (as needed), and project reviews.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure quality and timely completion of work.
  • Ensure all designs and recommendations comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, project managers, contractors, and other team members.
  • Stay up to date with the industry’s best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
