About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer I position at Caterpillar involves researching, designing, and developing mechanical products with a focus on hydraulics. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• 2-4 years of experience in the field, with at least 1 year of experience in hydraulics.
• Experience with CAD software (preferably Creo) and print reading is required.
• Creativity, strong verbal and written communication skills, and solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of experience in hydraulics.
• Manufacturing experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test mechanical devices with an emphasis on hydraulics.
• Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess project feasibility in terms of time and cost.
• Assist drafters with structural designs using tools, equipment, or engineering software.
