As a Mechanical Engineer I at Parker Aerospace, you will design and develop mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for aircraft and other platforms, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards. This role involves a variety of tasks including mechanical and thermal analysis, CAD work, software development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and existing product enhancements.

  • Research, implement, test, and validate technologies for new products/features.
  • Develop ideas and conceptual designs for mechanical components and systems.
  • Analyze designs using thermal analysis, vibration analysis, flow simulations, and structural calculations.
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings for prototypes and Proof-of-Concepts.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to define project requirements.
  • Benchmark and collect data on market products to support technology road map implementation.
  • Coordinate laboratory testing and analyze testing results for project development.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to source materials for prototypes and production builds.
  • Participate in technical design reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Support manufacturing processes by providing design documentation and resolving engineering issues.
  • Present technical solutions to customers and suppliers.
  • Perform enterprise infrastructure tool functions to facilitate engineering activities.
  • Review and update drawings, work instructions, and Bills of Material.
  • Write and review technical reports for customers.
  • Engage in continued learning and mentorship with interfacing departments.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
  • Maintain regular attendance and may need to work variable schedules.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and passion for technology.
  • Systematic, disciplined, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong knowledge of 3-D modeling, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Knowledge of Object-oriented programming tools, preferably Python.
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis techniques.
  • Ability to apply core engineering concepts effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to drive results.
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software, preferably SolidWorks and ANSYS.
  • Knowledge of thermal analysis and flow simulations.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
