In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in engineering and design of the HVAC and plumbing systems in various types of facilities. The HVAC Team is engaged in design and construction activities, project delivery methods, and various facility types including power generation buildings, substations, oil & gas structures, and energy storage buildings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of NFPA standards.
  • Experience with computer-generated HVAC heat loads and energy modeling.
  • Familiarity with technical submittal and bid reviewing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu.
  • LEED AP certification with experience in obtaining LEED certification for industrial buildings.
  • Extensive experience with large-scale water-cooled chillers.
  • Knowledge of International Codes Council (ICC) Suite of Codes, ASHRAE Handbooks/Standards, ASPE design handbooks, and SMACNA Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in engineering and design of HVAC and plumbing systems.
  • Engage in design and construction activities.
  • Utilize project delivery methods such as Traditional Design-Bid-Build and Alternative Conceptual-Bid-Build.
  • Conduct energy audits and efficiency engineering studies.
  • Perform code reviews and applications for facility compliance.
  • Apply sustainable design strategies and LEED certification processes.
