  • Design and release mechanical components and subsystems for military ground vehicles, including shock/vibration isolation systems, mounting provisions, and stowage equipment.
  • Develop and integrate vehicle systems to meet human factors, safety, environmental, ballistic, and mine blast requirements.
  • Perform mechanical analysis, design, and integration of components such as crew seating, driver controls, battery enclosures, fire suppression systems, and hydraulics.
  • Apply engineering fundamentals including mechanics of materials, material selection, welding, and fabrication for the development of complex brackets and mechanical interfaces.
  • Conduct engineering activities including tolerance stack-ups, drawing mark-ups, and creation of data packages for engineering change management.
  • Support prototype and production builds, including fit checks, integration reviews, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
  • Manage engineering documentation, including material and shop work requests, parts tracking, and technical reporting.
  • Provide technical presentations and status updates to program and functional leadership.
  • Oversee CAD model and drawing development, providing direction to design resources as needed.
  • Lead or support failure analysis and root cause investigations, and author formal technical documentation and corrective action reports.
  • Perform additional engineering tasks as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
  • 5–7 years of experience in mechanical design or related engineering field (preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including materials, structural design, and fabrication methods.
  • Experience supporting prototype and/or production vehicle build activities and post-build engineering support.
  • Proven experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance may be required (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Must be physically able to climb on/off and work around military vehicles.
  • Travel up to 10% to military installations or supplier facilities may be required.
  • Availability for occasional weekend, evening, and overtime work may be necessary.
  • 3D CAD modeling experience with NX or Creo (preferred).
  • Experience with Teamcenter PLM and Vis Mockup (a plus).
  • Prior experience with ground combat or military vehicle platforms (desired).
