About The Position

ISC Engineering is currently seeking an entry level mechanical engineer to join the Piping and Mechanical Department. The successful candidate will work alongside other engineers, designers, and drafters to develop construction work packages within the chemical and refining industry. This position is geared toward launching a recent graduate into a growth driven path to success working projects from conception through construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Entry-Level Position
• Co-Op or Internship experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferred but not required
• Licensed Engineer in Training (EIT) or the ability to become licensed
• Knowledge and ability to apply industry specifications and codes for equipment and pipe design
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to problem solve and thrive when priorities and deadlines change
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)
• AutoCAD or 3D Design Software experience preferred
• TWIC Card or the ability to acquire one
• Ability to perform job walks, field sketches, assist surveying team, and trace lines in client facilities

Nice To Haves

• Co-Op or Internship experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• AutoCAD or 3D Design Software experience

Responsibilities

• Perform job responsibilities under direction of Project Manager or a Senior Mechanical Engineer
• Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for review and approval
• Evaluate vendor bids and drawings to ensure compliance with specifications
• Perform calculations for detailed segments of a project such as pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, etc.
• Work with Project Engineers and Designers to ensure that engineering standards are applied correctly
• Review equipment and piping drawings, layouts, and material specifications to ensure they match ISC and Client standards and design requirements
• Assist with mechanical drawing production when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
