About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer position involves working with multidisciplinary project teams to provide mechanical engineering expertise in various industrial settings. The role includes tasks such as collecting field information, performing engineering calculations, selecting equipment, preparing design drawings, and writing technical reports. The engineer will focus on designing mechanical systems for heavy industrial environments, including power plants and mining facilities, and may require short-term travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with relevant coursework.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Familiarity with CAD design software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Project.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work cooperatively as part of a project team.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with computer data analysis or calculations using Mathcad or Excel.
• Experience working in consulting or industrial settings.
• Experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Collect field information and complete engineering calculations and analyses.
