Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will oversee projects, access and review contract drawings, while implementing changes. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of team-oriented project work and technical writing. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent related field.
  • Experience on at least one team based technical project.
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Must be a US Citizen; This position will require a government security clearance; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  • Technical Writing: Clear, concise, and audience‑focused documentation that explains complex technical concepts, procedures, or specifications in a way that is easy to understand and readily usable.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical Abilities: The capacity to identify root causes, break down complex issues into manageable components, evaluate alternatives, and develop logical, evidence‑based solutions efficiently.
  • Effective Written and Communication Skills: The ability to convey ideas, instructions, and feedback accurately and persuasively through written mediums (emails, reports, presentations) while also adapting tone and style to suit different audiences.
  • Familiar with AI/Machine Learning: Basic to intermediate knowledge of AI/ML concepts, tools, and workflows.
