Mechanical Engineer Co-Op

Storion EnergyWilmington, MA

About The Position

We are looking to hire a Co-Op starting in July and working through December 2026. Storion Energy is a joint venture between Stryten Energy and Largo inc. and is at the forefront of commercializing Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFBs) within the United States. Largo is a vanadium mining company with the only western-friendly vanadium mine in the world, located in Brazil. Stryten is a leading lead-acid battery manufacturer supplying energy storage solutions to the automotive, industrial, and stationary power markets. Storion Energy was formed from the VRFB divisions of each company and is focused on supplying specialty VRFB components to the long-duration energy storage (LDES) market. We are uniquely positioned to drive down costs to allow new entrants into the flow battery market, which will drive competition with lithium-based LDES products. VRFB LDES products help address renewable energy intermittency issues, provide grid resiliency, and enable a cleaner electricity grid. This position pays $25 per hour.
