  • Assist various engineers in testing of electric motors, including acoustic and vibration tests, electrical tests, and mechanical tests.
  • Prepare motors, motor applications, test fixtures, and sensors for testing.
  • Troubleshoot motor test-related issues, disassembly of parts for modifications, re-assembly of parts.
  • Design and modification of test fixtures.
  • Prepare and ship parts to customers or intra-company.
  • Basic coding: data analysis, manipulation, and post-processing.
  • Report writing, graphing of data, and interpreting results for engineer’s review.
  • Use lab tools and measurement equipment to determine electrical and mechanical motor properties.
  • Familiarity/experience in safely using hand and power tools (drills, band saw, etc.).
  • Planned B.S. degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical circuit theory.
  • Professionalism and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Organization with attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Basic experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Preferred but not required to have knowledge of acoustics, digital signal processing, Fourier Analysis, or modal analysis.
  • MATLAB or ANSYS (preferred).
