Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will work under the direction of other engineering personnel developing highly detailed component and system designs. You will help research, plan, design, develop, integrate and implement components and systems for flight as well as ground systems. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Missile or Launch Vehicle design with a high interest in Propulsion or Ordnance components. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical CAD modeling and drafting.
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with any CAD modeling tool, CREO preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Fast learner with good problem-solving abilities
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
