Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will Work with a diverse work force responsible for the development, design, fabrication, test, and delivery of mechanical ground support equipment. Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable, and producible engineering designs. Collaborate with peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of : Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Techniques Collaboration Attention to Detail Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a Mechanical engineer or related discipline. Entry level.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis.
  • Familiarity with engineering CAD tools (Creo, I-DEAS, etc.).
  • Candidate must have good oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • US citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidate must have the ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards applicable to mechanical and structural systems.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.
