The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. •Perform engineering tasks in support of the Flight Auxiliary Power Unit / Hydraulic systems engineering group. •Candidate will perform engineering work on a team to accomplish assembly, servicing, test and launch of NASA's Space Launch System in support of the Artemis program. •Assignments will range from installation, maintenance & operation of ground systems supporting SLS launch to development of ground application software and procedures used during ground processing and vehicle launch of NASAs SLS. •Candidates will be required to apply knowledge of technical principles, vehicle processing operations concepts, ground to vehicle interfaces, and vehicle/ground system design and operation. Additional responsibilities including system training, vehicle processing, and launch certification will follow. •Candidate will be expected to accomplish testing & operations independently, and act as Task Team Leader for assignments involving APU/Hydraulics engineering related teams. •Candidate will contribute to team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned.
