About The Position

This position is in the Nacogdoches Maintenance Department. Primarily responsible for providing mechanical/electrical breakdown or troubleshooting services and/or any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance role
• High School Deploma or GED preferred
• NIBCO electrical certification and demonstrated electrical troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Fork truck qualified
• Customer focus
• Must be able to work in adverse conditions such as extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and elevated positions
• Must be able to wear a respirator
• Teamwork / Collaboration
• Ability to use measuring instruments
• Read prints and design drawings
• Operate power tools
• Good work ethic
• Ability to continuously stand or walk.
• Ability to bend, squat, & lift < 35 pounds frequently
• Ability to climb stairs occasionally
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to move rolling product cart > 150 pounds occasionally
• Ability to wear required PPE
• This is a manufacturing environment with minimal climate control.
• Ability to work in a hot environment.

Nice To Haves

• Texas State Journeyman’s Electrical License or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping activities
• Daily safety checks for unsafe acts and conditions
• Work closely with production associates and supervision to fill their needs to accomplish highest production efficiency
• Make repairs on all equipment within the plant.
• Fill in as breakdown technician in any department as needed
• Promote lean manufacturing in all processes.
• Any other assigned duties as specified by supervisor
