Project Description The role requires being onsite. The successful candidate would begin work for this internship in June 2026 with the opportunity to continue until graduation. Applicants must be located or be able to relocate for several months to work at the Xcel Energy TX Generating facilities, or already live within a commutable distance from the project work sites. Work with the engineering staff to support capital project work at varies generation facilities in the SPS region. Will perform entry level engineering analysis doing tasks supporting both project management and construction. Tasks include submittal coordination, drawing support, construction planning and oversight, safety observations, and vendor outreach and coordination. Through practical field experience and mentoring, successful candidate will gain significant professional and technical skills. Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited Electrical or Mechanical Engineering program
• A Junior or above as of Spring 2026.
• Must live within a commutable distance from the project work sites.
• Must have reliable personal transportation.
