Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martin’s outstanding Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity, and reliability. The Life Extension 2 (LE2) team is an organization within the greater FBM program which supports the development of the Next Generation System by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System. Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for a dedicated Systems Integration Engineer to become a member of the Missile Subsystem Product Integration Team. As a Mechanical/Electrical Integration Engineer , you will serve as a key interface between the requirements, design, subsystem engineering, system engineering, and production teams!

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Understanding Systems Engineering lifecycle models and work products
  • Understanding of technical documentation and drawings
  • US Citizenship with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical engineering or Mechanical engineering experience
  • Experience with test planning, execution, and test automation or Hands-on test equipment operation in a lab environment
  • Experience with process development and deployment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, develop excellent relationships with team members and shape consensus among peers
  • Experience with spacecraft/missile design, development, integration, or test, with broad based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level
  • Validated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent review and cross-program coordination to ensure mechanical and electrical designs and as-built products are compatible
  • Support Missile production and test activities at component manufacturers and the Strategic Weapons Facilities
  • Drive anomaly investigations to closure
  • Perform data reviews and provide feedback to test and integration teams
  • Engage in travel and off-shift support
  • Find opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.
