We are seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Fabrication Technician to perform the following duties: Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Fabricate and assemble test equipment, tools and fixtures in accordance with designs provided by engineering and test engineering. Fabricate chassis, racks and cables per engineering drawings and working with engineers. Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve problems. Has a strong attention to detail and an understanding of how to read engineering drawings. Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and work to electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams and drawings
  • Prior experience with electrical fabrication, assembly and/or test tools and processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building test racks and routing cables or wires, installing equipment into rack.
  • Experience building Chassis/Box Assemblies and routing wire in chassis.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in using common electrical/fabrication tools
  • Experience fabricating cables and harness
  • Experience with common electrical tools for fabricating cables or racks.
  • Experience with circuit card fabrication by hand soldering methods under a microscope.
