About The Position

The Mechanical Drafter position at RMH Systems involves supporting crane sales operations by converting conceptual designs into technical plans. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong drafting background to collaborate with sales and engineering teams, ensuring accurate and timely production of mechanical drawings for industrial equipment.

Requirements

• Mechanical drawing experience (minimum of 3 years)
• Experience in Inventor or SolidWorks
• Experience with industrial equipment design is preferred
• Driven, detail-oriented, organized, and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical, approval, and construction drawings in AutoCAD for industrial cranes and hoist projects
• Create 3D models within Autodesk Inventor (preferred) or SolidWorks
• Calculate dimensions, weight limitations, and develop bill of materials
• Generate drawings from field survey data
• Advise sales team on design functionality of equipment systems
• Support sales team on sales calls or design plans
• Work with vendors regarding design details
• Assist inside sales personnel with proper execution of project documents
• Ensure deadlines are met with minimal re-work
