Job Description Position Summary: The Mechanical Designer will work in a new product development environment and support the development (from concept to production) of high current and voltage power conversion and Motor Control Center products. Position reports to local Development Engineering Manager and may take direction from engineers and project managers. With support, the designer is responsible for application, conception, creation, release and support of industrial power control products (Motor Control Centers), consistent with company and industry standards for quality, safety and reliability while optimizing cost and manufacturability. You will develop CAD drawings for mechanical applications, work as part of a team, and be involved in other design related activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required - we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically requires 1+ year of relevant mechanical CAD software (CREO, Pro/E, AutoCAD) design experience.
  • Be able to manipulate large assemblies (>200 components) effectively.
  • Technical school CAD training, or equivalent experience.
  • Read and interpret Engineering drawings and documentation, and collaborate with the design team in a fluid design/test environment.
  • A working knowledge of production part processes: plastic forming, moldings, castings and sheet-metal manufacturing methods.
  • Experience with the product development of power equipment for 240-690V AC systems.
  • Rockwell Automation product and product integration knowledge.
  • Pro-E CAD modeling experience.
  • SAP software experience.
