Overview of Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Designer, you’ll lead the charge in creating cutting-edge mechanical components based on standard products. Your designs will drive innovation, elevate our product offerings, and breathe new life into existing products. Whether optimizing performance, enhancing functionality, or adapting for new projects, your creativity will shine. Your meticulous attention to detail will produce schematics that serve as the blueprint for success! The ability to follow directions and ask questions is essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in mechanical design or related field
  • The ability to follow directions is essential, but we also encourage you to ask questions, explore new ideas, and contribute to our vibrant team
  • Certificate or Degree in Mechanical Design
  • Strong 3D CAD experience
  • Solid knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience with Solid Edge or other mid-range modeling packages

Responsibilities

  • Design and detail mechanical components, as well as revise standard models used in the KJLC product line.
  • Create Bills of Material (BOMs) in the corporate ERP system.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Management teams to understand project needs.
  • Interface with our internal machine shop to determine cost-effective manufacturing solutions.
  • Ensure timely compliance with company workplace policies and procedures, including human resource policies and safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
