About The Position

We are actively seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer with a specialization in deep drawn metal stamping to join our innovative engineering team. This position requires a detail-oriented engineer with a comprehensive understanding of product design and advanced manufacturing processes, specifically in high-precision metal forming techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering within deep drawn metal stamping.
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with simulation tools for finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Strong understanding of metallurgy, metal forming mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a systematic approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Certification or demonstrable knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize tooling and fixtures for deep drawn metal stamping processes.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including production, quality assurance, research and development, and supply chain management.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software tools (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA) to create detailed 2D and 3D models.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility analyses and computer simulations to evaluate design concepts.
  • Select appropriate materials and establish manufacturing processes and tolerances.
  • Perform detailed root cause analysis on production anomalies and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Oversee the prototyping phase, developing initial models for testing.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, employing Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of design processes, modifications, and specifications.
