About The Position
The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops position at Cardinal Health plays a crucial role in the operations of the warehouse, focusing on both inbound and outbound activities. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of materials and products within the distribution or manufacturing environment. The individual in this position will assist the Warehouse Supervisor in meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. Responsibilities include receiving products in the inbound section and shipping products in the outbound section, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. In this role, the associate will follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders, which includes accurately picking items, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment. The position requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in changing priorities as needed. The associate will also be expected to cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in various projects as required. The job involves utilizing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and send out products, as well as operating material handling equipment such as order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is paramount, and associates will be responsible for completing housekeeping and inventory control tasks. The role also requires adherence to safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with Cardinal Health's Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality Risk Assessment (QRA) policies.
