Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Mechanical Design Technician.
• 1 year of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and design tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively.
• Ability to conduct field walks and verifications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with HVAC, Hydronics, and Fire Protection systems.
• Familiarity with chemical/mechanical plans and piping layouts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site visits to verify existing field conditions and ensure alignment with design implementation processes.
• Coordinate effectively with project engineers, project coordinators, and construction trades to ensure design accuracy.
• Provide comprehensive 2D drawing packages that adhere to site design standards.
• Verify, update, and draft chemical/mechanical plans including piping layouts and control schematics.
• Draft Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to illustrate system interactions.
• Produce detailed flow diagrams for HVAC, Hydronics, and Fire Protection systems.
• Implement isometric views into design packages for field installation assistance.
• Conduct punch-list walks on completed projects to ensure adherence to design intent.
• Assist in updating and drafting new and existing products for design changes and cost reductions.
• Evaluate vendors and provide drawing support for engineering systems.
