About The Position

If you are a Mechanical Engineering student looking for an internship opportunity, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based at our 90+ person Design and Manufacturing facility at our Brenham, TX location, you will support the development of proven technologies, products, and processes to meet quality, performance, cost, and schedule goals. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Work in both office and lab environments to support product design, testing, and development activities. Design or modify products using engineering judgment, company standards, and knowledge of applications. Assist with prototypes, lab and agency testing, and apply sound engineering practices to resolve technical issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and customers on technical matters and design reviews. Recommend design and process improvements to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing capabilities. Prepare and present test results, manage engineering changes, and provide ongoing support for existing products. Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering
  • Zero (0) years of related experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person in Brenham, TX

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Prior internship or related work experience
  • Basic understanding of simple mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with use of basic hands and small power tools
