Highwood USA is an entrepreneurial manufacturer serving the hot tub and outdoor furniture market with unique synthetic wood products. The company has grown each year, and continues to increase both its revenues and workforce. The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing new furniture and spa products, with an eye toward ease of manufacturing, ease of assembly, product durability/performance, and overall cost. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be involved with all aspects of product development through manufacturing. The role requires exploring and researching fasteners, adhesives, tooling, and other components and aspects of design to ensure the optimal balance of performance and cost. Additionally, support of and guidance to the manufacturing team when rolling out new products and/or improving existing processes is required.
